Each talk features one professor’s point of view on a problem central to national politics, culture and society from a different academic perspective or disciplinary tradition of ideas.

What Philosophy Students Need to Know about Law School

This information session with Ian Davis will cover topics like application strategies, strengths of different schools, the relevance and utility of a PHIL background for Law School, the intellectual challenges of the law, and the employment market for graduates. Ian will be happy to answer any questions you have.

Ian Davis is graduating from UBC Law School in 2017. He has been an Articled Student with Singleton Urguhart LLP and with the Law Society of British Columbia. He holds a BA, Philosophy (Hons) from SFU (2013) where he was a two-time winner of the undergraduate essay prize.
