Your SFU application journey includes a number of important dates and deadlines. Explore the key dates by admission intake term below - whether you are thinking about applying, have already submitted an application, or have been offtered admission to SFU.

- Application opens on Education Planner BC. View admission requirements.
- Residence and Housing applications opens for Fall 2026.
- Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarship applications open for Fall 2026.
January 31
- Deadline to apply for Fall 2026 on Education Planner BC.
Starting mid-November to January
- Early admission consideration for students applying from the B.C. 12 curriculum.
December 15
- Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarship applications close for Fall 2026.
Starting January to late April
- Admission decisions are made for most High School Applicants. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis.
January 31
- Deadline for B.C. High School Applicants to submit the Student Transcript Service (STS) Form, allowing SFU to access your grade information.
- Supporting documents deadline for Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships.
February 7
- Applicants to the Beedie School of Business must complete all items requested on the To-Do List.
- Deadline for applicants to the School for the Contemporary Arts (excluding Art, Performance, and Cinema Studies and Performance Production & Design) to complete their Supplemental Application (audition, interview, or portfolio).
February 28
- Admission document submission deadline for all High School Applicants
Mid-March to May
- Entrance Scholarship offers sent via email
April 30
- Deadline for Challenge Exam grades to be reported on your official Ministry of Education transcript.
June 30
- For current highschool students: Deadline to complete all high school courses, including distributed-learning (online) courses to meet the conditions of your offer.
- For students upgrading: Final grades must be submitted by document submission deadline.
May 1
- Accept your offer - Deadline for most students to accept their offer of admission.
- Deadline to apply for Residence and Housing
Early May
- Transfer Credit report is available for International Baccalaureate, A-Level and Advanced Placement. See your Student Centre for details.
July
- Course registration begins. For support with course registration see Enrolment Services.
July-August
- Deadline to submit final transcript(s). Please refer to the specific date in your Student Centre.
August 15
- Deadline to apply for an Admission Deferral.
September 8
- First day of classes for the Fall 2026 term
