Your SFU application journey includes a number of important dates and deadlines. Explore the key dates by admission intake term below - whether you are thinking about applying, have already submitted an application, or have been offtered admission to SFU.

College/University Transfer or Second Degree applicants: Select this category if you are currently attending a College or University and will have completed 24 or more units of transferable course work prior to the term you are applying to, or if you have a completed Bachelor's Degree.

- The Fall 2027 application opens to the following transfer student groups only: College, University Transfer or Bachelor’s Degree holding applicants to the School for Contemporary Arts and applicants to the Faculty of Education Preservice Professional Programs. Transfer applicants to other programs should wait until March 1 to apply.
March 1, 2027
- The application opens for Fall 2027 on Education Planner BC. See general requirements for college/university transfer students.
April 15
- Deadline to apply for Fall 2027 on Education Planner BC.
February 7
- Applicants to the Beedie School of Business must complete all items requested on the To-Do List, which includes the Supplemental Application.
- Deadline for applicants to the School for the Contemporary Arts (excluding Art, Performance, and Cinema Studies and Performance Production & Design) to complete their Supplemental Application (audition, interview, or portfolio).
Starting mid-March to late June
- Admission decisions for College or University Transfer applicants are made on a rolling basis.
May 15
- Deadline to submit admission documents.
May 1
- Accept your offer - Check your email for the Admission Offer Letter which indicates the deadline to accept your offer in Student Centre.
- Deadline to apply for Residence and Housing.
July
- Course registration begins. For support with course registration see Enrolment Services.
- See your Student Centre for details on your Transferable Credit awarded.
July-August
- Deadline to submit final transcript(s). Please refer to the specific date in your Student Centre.
August 15
- Deadline to apply for an Admission Deferral.
September 8
- First day of classes for the Fall 2027 term.
