Your SFU application journey includes a number of important dates and deadlines. Explore the key dates by admission intake term below - whether you are thinking about applying, have already submitted an application, or have been offtered admission to SFU.

College/University Transfer or Second Degree applicants: Select this category if you are currently attending a College or University and will have completed 24 or more units of transferable course work prior to the term you are applying to, or if you have a completed Bachelor's Degree.

- The Admission Application opens for Spring 2027 on Education Planner BC.
August 1
- Residents and Housing applications open for Spring 2027.
September 15
- Deadline to apply for Spring 2027 Admission on Education Planner BC.
Starting late August through October
- Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis.
October 1
- Admission document submission deadline for all applicants.
- Deadline to apply for SFU Residence and Housing
Starting August
- Accept your offer - Check your email for the Admission Offer Letter which indicates the deadline to accept your offer in Student Centre.
November
- Transfer Credit report is available for College or University Transfer, International Baccalaureate, A-Level and Advanced Placement.
- Course registration begins. For support with course registration see Enrolment Services.
Late December to early January
- Deadline to submit final transcript(s). Please refer to the specific date in your Student Centre.
December 15
- Deadline to apply for an Admission Deferral
January 5, 2027
- First Day of Classes for the Spring 2027 Term
