Apply for the Grace Hopper Scholarship: Deadline is March 30

Be a part of the world’s leading conference of women technologists from around the globe! Taking place in Houston, Texas, the Anita Borg Institute presents the 2016 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (GHC) – a dynamic 3-day event that brings together innovative women and organizations to create discourse around research and career opportunities.

From October 19 – October 21, be ready to learn about an array of topics over presentations, activities and workshops. The themes will be grouped into “Clusters”, focusing on a diverse range of topics within Technology, Careers, Organizational Transformation and more. Not only is GHC 2016 the perfect opportunity to expand your knowledge, it’s a great time to network and meet other professionals in tech. The conference offers several opportunities for career growth and professional development through events like Career Fairs, a Student Opportunity Lab and Leadership Workshops. GHC is offering scholarships to both students and faculty members! Students include undergraduates, graduates and post-doctoral researchers, and faculty must be presently teaching Computer Science in an institution of higher education.

To apply, students and faculty must include a personal essay and a resume. Students will also need to submit an unofficial transcript and a letter of recommendation from a faculty member at their post-secondary institution. If selected, be prepared for special events beginning from October 18 through to the morning after the last day of events on October 22.
