Calling all computing science enthusiasts! A great opportunity has arisen for Grade 12 students graduating before summer 2016. Google is accepting applications for the 2016 Generation Google Scholarship and Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI).
The summer camp program and scholarship are targeted towards graduating students who are interested in studying Computer Science in University. These programs are designed to inspire and help students become future leaders in computing and technology by breaking down any barriers that may prevent them from entering the field.
CSSI is a three-week summer camp held throughout the United States with interactive and hands-on activities taught directly by Google engineers. CSSI students will get an inside look at some of Google’s newest technologies as well as the opportunity to design and develop their very own application.
As part of the scholarship, recipients will be awarded $10,000 USD for study in the United States or $5,000 CAD for study in Canada, along with an invitation to attend CSSI in the summer of 2016.  Students are encouraged to apply to both the scholarship and CSSI.
