Between July 3rd – July 27th, 2018, the Department of Mathematics and the Office for Aboriginal Peoples, with the support of the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) and Indigenous Student Centre will be offering the 2018 SFU Academic Summer Camp for Aboriginal Students, at SFU's Burnaby Campus.

The main goal of the camp is to help aboriginal students currently in grades 9 -11 to accelerate in Mathematics and English. In addition this camp will offer the participants the opportunity to be exposed to the life of a university student.

Accepted participants will be expected to agree and adhere to the camp participant expectations agreement including a commitment of full camp attendance and participation in all activities. The cost of the camp is free and students will receive a stipend to compensate for their time commitment.

Application and essay deadline is Friday, May 18th, 2018.   Only complete applications will be considered.
