Join UBC Young Women for Science for a conference focusing on the role of women in STEM fields in the past, present, and future!

Speakers/panelists will share their experiences: Dr. Janis McKenna, UBC Professor and Heavy Quarks, Electroweak Physics and CP Violation researcher; Kristin Wilkes, Chief Information Officer for Capilano University; our final speaker is to be announced. Four of the UBC Young Women for Science club members will present as well.

Topics will include the stigma and bias women face when pursuing careers in STEM, how the gender gap in STEM can be addressed, and how women in the past and present make a positive impact on the world through STEM.

Lunch is included with registration, as well as coffee, tea, and snacks for the morning registration and afternoon networking sessions.
