Sessional: BPK 304W Inquiry and Measurement in BPK

Salary: $7718 (lectures) inclusive of 4% vacation pay

Lectures: 3 hours of lecture, Fridays 9:30AM-12:20PM

Course Descriptions

Qualifications:

A related graduate degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology or a related discipline together with evidence of teaching ability commensurate with the responsibility of teaching the assigned credit course and of carrying out the duties related to the effective conduct of that course.

For BPK 304W, applicants must have the following:

  • Demonstrated excellence in designing and conducting research studies using methods common to biomedical physiology and kinesiology laboratories
  • Demonstrated excellence analyzing research data, including descriptive as well as parametric and non-parametric inferential statistics (t tests, ANOVA, ANCOVA, correlation, chi-square, linear and logistic regression)
  • Demonstrated excellence with data acquisition and processing methods common to biomedical physiology and kinesiology laboratories, including data processing and analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of scientific writing and evidence of scholarly scientific contributions
  • Experience with data signal processing and analysis software, specifically MATLAB and SPSS, respectively.
  • Knowledge of undergraduate research opportunities in the Department
