  • This is PART 1 of the online application for General Camps Instructor, Climbing Camp Instructor, World Language Camp Instructor, and Forest Stories Camp Instructor. After submitting the form you will be redirected to PART 2, where you will be asked to submit your resume

    • Must be 16 years old by June 17, 2026.
    • Must submit a Criminal Record Check prior to start date. Instructions and criteria will be provided upon job offer.
    • Must submit a valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification prior to start date (Emergency First Aid will NOT be accepted).
    • Must be available for full time hours (8:00AM-4:00PM, Monday to Friday) for the duration of the position. Time off requests are reviewed and accepted on a case-by-case basis dependent on available coverage and support. 
      • Note: Hours will vary for Post-Care positions. Please see Camp Descriptions for details. 
  • If selecting Climbing, Forest Stories, Chinese Discovery, Japanese Discovery, and/or Spanish Discovery - please make sure you have reviewed the applicable Job Description for the additional qualifications and specific dates. 
  • All camps operate out of the SFU Burnaby campus and staff are responsible for their own transportation to and from campus.

Camp Preferences

Please take the time to read through the camp descriptions here. Pay attention to the typical shift times and the specific details about each camp. Candidates will be considered for all camps selected, so the more camps you choose the more your application will stand out.

Phone Availability

We aim to assess applications within two weeks of submitting your form and resume. All applicants will receive an update with either an invitation to a phone interview or a notice that your application will not move forward to the interview step. 

Please indicate below your preferred day and time for a phone interview in the next two weeks. You can expect the phone interview to last up to 20 minutes. If invited to a phone interview, we will use your responses to set a tentative time and include that in the invitation email.

Collection Notice

SFU Camps & Clinics collects personal information on behalf of SFU under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (RSBC 1996, c.165). The personal information collected includes full names, contact information, and prior work experience.

It is related directly to and needed by the University to track applicant information. The information will be used to contact applicants, assess related work experience, and schedule interviews.
