Spring grad class numbers higher than ever

May 27, 2020
Technical Communication Certificate grad Heather Smirle is among the 361 students in our spring 2020 grad class.

We’re delighted to congratulate every student who was awarded a certificate or diploma from SFU Continuing Studies this spring. With 361 names forming the class of spring 2020, we’ve set a new record for number of graduates in either our spring or fall convocation periods.

Our students graduated from 26 different programs, including professional programs like editing, HR management and urban design. On the personal enrichment side of our programming, eight students earned the Liberal Arts for 55+ Certificate this spring; the oldest at 79 years of age.

As our online offerings continue to grow, our latest crop of grads even includes learners hailing from locations as far off as Australia and Switzerland.

Along with their certificates or diplomas, Continuing Studies graduates are granted SFU alumni status along with its many benefits. Kudos to all!
