Alison Braid-Fernandez
Alison Braid-Fernandez is a writer, teacher and manuscript consultant. Her chapbook Little Hunches was published by Anstruther Press (2020), and recent work appears in literary magazines such as Conjunctions, The Malahat Review, Canadian Literature, PRISM international and The Chicago Quarterly. Her poems have been anthologized in Best Canadian Poetry 2024 and 2025 as well as featured on The Slowdown Show.
Alison holds an MFA in writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and a BFA in writing from the University of British Columbia. Her writing has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Access Copyright Foundation and the BC Arts Council. She is currently working on her first novel.
