Janice Bannister has taught comedy techniques at Douglas College, Capilano University’s Continuing Studies, and for the City of New Westminster. She now teaches her own comedy courses through her Laughter Zone 101. She developed the “Zoomer, Boomer, Senior” comedy program for Century House in New Westminster and the Kid’s Comedy Boot Camp for Capilano University.
With a background in psychiatric nursing, Janice believes in the therapeutic power of laughter as a way for people to connect, share the ups and downs of life in an upbeat manner and just plain have fun. She performs stand-up regularly at clubs and corporate events. Janice is also often called upon to give comedy workshops for teachers, nurses and business people. Her standup performances and teaching have been featured in the Vancouver Sun, CBC, and on the W network.
