Andrea Hedley

Andrea Hedley is a public and stakeholder engagement planner specializing in community mobilization for climate action, sustainability, resilience and systems change. Since 2005, she has worked in the academic, nonprofit and private sectors to advance climate and sustainability goals for local governments.  

Andrea is the engagement lead for the Community Energy Association, where she designs and facilitates community and multi-stakeholder engagement processes that support plans and programs on climate mitigation, adaptation and resilience, First Nations planning, peer networks, deep energy retrofits and low carbon transportation. 

Previously, Andrea served as the manager of engagement and communications for Renewable Cities at SFU’s Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, and as a community planner for HB Lanarc, a sustainability-focused planning consultancy. She holds a master's degree in environmental communication and education and a bachelor of environmental design. Andrea is grateful to live and work on the traditional territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.
