Erin Klingmann

Erin Klingmann is an information designer and plain language specialist with 15 years of experience in the B.C. public sector. Her favourite thing about her work is transforming documents from being cluttered and confusing to clear and compelling. Her work experience includes communication design, visual storytelling, data visualization, audience research and user testing, and providing advice and training on plain language and readability. 

Erin has a certificate in plain language from Simon Fraser University, an MA in applied communications from Royal Roads University, and a BA (Honours) in English literature from Queen’s University. 

Before moving to Victoria in 2005, Erin spent seven years working abroad, including three years teaching English as a second language in Japan and in the Czech Republic.

In her free time, Erin is busy transforming her garden – one weed at a time.
