Judy Phillips

Judy Phillips is a freelance editor with more than 20 years of experience in the publishing industry. After working in-house at Douglas & McIntyre and Self-Counsel Press, she made the leap to freelancing. Since then, she has edited and proofread fiction and non-fiction for trade, scholarly and educational publishers. She has also edited for magazines and in corporate communications. Among her clients are HarperCollins Canada, Appetite by Random House, Figure 1 Publishing and Page Two Strategies, as well as various commercial and arts organizations, including Box of Crayons and the Art Gallery of Ontario. When she’s not editing, Judy can be found taking classes at the National Ballet of Canada studios, or taste-testing recipes from cookbooks she’s edited.
