Katherine McDougall

Katherine McDougall is a climate planning and research specialist with the Community Energy Association. She supports local governments and Indigenous communities with their climate action initiatives. Her role includes GHG emissions inventories and modelling, climate action and adaptation plans, renewable energy studies, grant writing, residential retrofit program planning and evaluation, and EV fleet assessments.

Katherine's educational background includes a diploma in alternative energy technology and bachelor’s in technology management from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. She is also a Certified Community Energy Manager (CCEM).

In her personal time, she enjoys playing sports, getting outside on her bike, travelling within Canada and abroad, and coaching basketball.
