Mark Seinen
Mark Seinen is a senior planner at Metro Vancouver Regional District, where he leads a team focused on implementing the regional growth strategy, Metro 2050.
Mark’s career has included both public and private sector city planning, with projects ranging from transportation design to long-range growth management. He is experienced in transit-oriented development, active transportation and governance, and he is passionate about effective writing and speaking.
He has been a part of significant regional planning milestones in Metro Vancouver, including leading transportation policy development and managing key amendments for Metro 2050. He has also authored reports such as the Housing and Transportation Cost Burden Study Update and the Regional Parking Study.
Mark holds a master of city and regional planning from Rutgers University and a bachelor of arts from Simon Fraser University.
