Caitlyn Waterhouse, BAIS 2024 | Pursuing Juris Doctor degree at the University of Victoria
"Law school has felt like a natural progression from my learning in the International Studies program. IS equipped me with crucial background to understanding the socio-political context underpinning legal issues. I would highly recommend IS to students who are interested in social justice, policy, and law."
Mason Mattu, BAIS 2026 | Accepted into law program at the University of British Columbia
"Studying International Studies helps you think critically about power, relations, and rules that govern the international arena. In doing so, you are actively building the skills repertoire you need to challenge legal norms— something lawyers do on the daily. Alongside this, the readings I have done as part of my IS degree has made me comfortable with the workload that law school requires."
