Dr. Vimal Pandey is Assistant Professor at the University of Delhi, specializing in international relations and security studies. He earned his doctorate from the School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, where he developed a rigorous foundation in global security frameworks and diplomatic history. Prior to his current academic appointment, Dr. Pandey served with the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) at Sapru House. During his tenure there, he gained significant expertise in policy-oriented research and foreign policy analysis. Dr. Pandey’s research focuses on India–Africa relations, African security, and India’s national security policy. His work explores the intersections of global terrorism, conflict resolution, and the role of ethics and peace in Indian tradition. A widely published scholar, his research has appeared in leading journals such as Insight on Africa, World Affairs, India Quarterly, and the United Services Institution Journal.
