Dr. Claudia Wong

Dr. Claudia Wong is a Senior Lecturer at the Linguistics Department. She is currently Director of the LDWC and the Certificate in Teaching ESL Linguistics (CESL) program. Before moving to Canada, Claudia had worked for writing centres at universities for more than 10 years, specialising in writing and delivering English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses and academic communication workshops for undergraduates and graduate students. Her research interests include second / foreign language learning, teacher training, and ESL teaching within community settings. During her spare time, Claudia enjoys biking, hiking, singing, travelling and reading. She is a proud multilingual and is passionate about learning languages.
