Synthesizing knowledge from multiple disciplines, Computational Design & Engineering advances product development methods and optimizes design. Advanced computing and visualization technologies are applied for engineering analysis, simulation and optimization. The group is committed to collaborating with non-engineering faculties such as business, architecture and interactive arts for interdisciplinary research. This group also seeks to develop breakthrough products or processes in collaboration with biomedical, energy, healthcare and other industries.
