Departmental Guests/VIP Day Parking Permits

Departments looking to provide day parking for their guests/VIPS should contact Parking & Sustainable Mobility Services directly. PSMS has an online "Kiosk" system, which is managed directly by the department to provide courtesy parking for their guests/event attendees. The Kiosk system provides parking in any search stall across campus, for up to 12 hours of parking. There are two different options for the Kiosk:

  1. Day-Of Kiosk System: The department can enter all license plates into the Kiosk system to provide immediate courtesy parking for the event attendees/guests.
  2. The Pre-Registration Kiosk System: The department enters the license plates in advance, selecting a date/time up to seven days in advance that they would like parking to begin for their event attendees/guests.

Please contact Parking@sfu.ca if you are interested in getting the Kiosk system set for your department. PSMS will require a departmental billing code and approval from a departmental signing authority.

Those parking on campus are responsible for abiding by the Parking Regulations; Parking and Sustainable Mobility Services both tickets and impounds vehicles found to be parked in violation.

SFU Parking and Sustainable Mobility Services operates the parking at the Burnaby Campus. Different parking regulations apply at the Surrey and Downtown Campuses.
