"I am incredibly thankful for my time at SFU. The brilliant, friendly, engaging faculty in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science were a joy to learn from and work with. The department has a wide breadth of research areas in statistics and the faculty are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with students and helping them mature as researchers. The technical skill I developed in my time at SFU has been a crucial part of my ability to quickly integrate into the research environment at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The friendly, collaborative nature of the department grew my ability to do group research that I've found invaluable as well. I am deeply grateful for my time at SFU and how the department helped me grow into the statistician I am today. "
