Simon Fraser University is proud to be a member of the American Society of Transplantation's Living Donor Circle of Excellence program, with support from strategic partner The Kidney Foundation of Canada. The program recognizes companies that have policies in place to support the wages of employees who become living donors, and we are pleased to offer this benefit to our employees in an effort to eliminate the financial barriers to living donation and allow our staff the opportunity to consider living donation.

SFU faculty and staff who choose to become living donors will be eligible for 100% of their salary for up to six weeks of recovery time without negatively impacting their sick leave bank entitlement. This leave will be available to all continuing SFU employees, as well as employees in temporary positions longer than three months.
