Continuing our discussion of power, a review of Joe Painter's Geographies of Space and Power. Of particular note here is Painter's attention to connecting power to the work of geography--of earth-writing, of knowledge production. While the article can be seen as a review of the discipline, it does a useful job of giving us some starting vocabulary through which we can situate more critical discussions.
