Ways to get involved

Opportunities

Welcome to Virtual Volunteering!

In response to COVID-19, most of our summer programs were offered in virtual formats  to continue supporting our community while keeping everyone safe. More than 150 SFU students volunteered virtually for the first time ever!

For the Fall 2020 semester, this approach will continue. Most of our volunteer opportunities will happen virtually. The few that take place in-person will follow health guidelines of physical distancing and frequent hand-washing.

Please review our current opportunities and let us know which ones interest you!

Partner with us

The SFU Surrey – TD Community Engagement Centre (SFU CEC) provides an opportunity for SFU to connect with people and organizations in Surrey in a genuine way through collaboration, the sharing of resources and the co-creation of ideas and solutions to build more resilient communities. Making a direct contribution to the well-being of our community – on terms co-created with partners in our community – is why we are here.

If you are interested in the kind of principles that underpin the foundation for such partnerships, contact Gretchen Ferguson, our associate director for partnerships and programs, email gretchen_ferguson@sfu.ca or phone 778-782-8082. We look forward to hearing from you.
