Events at TD-CEC

  • Surrey Together Against Racism (STAR), led by MOSAIC, invites SFU students to join this event, on May 19th, to discuss practical tools for combatting racism! In this free and virtual event, students will discuss ways for responding to racial discrimination and hate incidents; Watch brief presentations from legal education and counselling support professionals; Share their concerns, ask questions, and get answers from the professionals.

  • Grab your favourite beverage and join us on a bi-weekly basis for the Virtual Volunteer Cafe on Fridays from 3PM-4PM. Attending this 1-hour online session is put towards your Co-Curricular Record since we take attendance. This is your chance to discover new and upcoming opportunities, meet with community partners, ask any questions or raise any concerns that you have, and learn more about Co-Curricular recognized opportunities to volunteer with the community through the SFU Surrey - TD Community Engagement Centre.

  • On Halloween, the SFU Surrey - TD CEC invites local elementary schools (AHP Matthew Elementary, Old Yale Road Elementary, Betty Huff Elementary) to bring their students to “trick-or-treat” at decorated departments at the SFU Surrey campus. Current SFU Surrey students act as tour guides. This fun, interactive event introduces young children to a university setting while providing them the opportunity to take part in a traditional activity in a safe environment.

  • At this event, you get to meet industry professionals from TD Bank Group and discover how they've entered the field, listen to their work experiences in various positions, and how they created their networks.

  • Wondering about what to study after high school? Overwhelmed by all the options, requirements, and if it will lead to a job in the end? Login and talk to some SFU students about what it's really like to be a university student and what SFU offers besides classes, to smooth out your transition to post-secondary. Thursday July 23 at 7 pm.
