On Sunday, December 8, 2019, the first annual BC AI Student Showcase was hosted at the Fairmont Waterfront hotel by the SFU School of Computing Science, AInBC and Crossover: AI.

The event was a major success, with over 300 student presenters from SFU, UBC, UVIC and more presenting their artificial intelligence research to industry guests. The SFU School of Computing Science made a statement at the event, with student presenters from professor Greg Mori’s CMPT 726 and professor Anoop Sarkar’s CMPT 413/825 courses, as well as other presenters from across the school.
