Welcome to new instructors Andrea Reimer, Kris Archie and Parker Johnson

As our Dialogue and Civic Engagement Certificate program marks its 10th anniversary, we’re thrilled to welcome three new instructors: Andrea Reimer, Kris Archie and Parker Johnson.

Former Vancouver city councillor Andrea Reimer has been a strong public voice locally for nearly 20 years. After retiring from politics in 2018, she was awarded a Loeb Fellowship at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in recognition of her significant contributions to urban policy and civic leadership.

Kris Archie from the Ts’qescen First Nation is the executive director of the Circle on Philanthropy and Aboriginal Peoples in Canada, a network that promotes philanthropy in Aboriginal communities. Kris is also a graduate of the Dialogue and Civic Engagement program.

Parker Johnson holds a master’s degree in administration, planning and social policy from Harvard University. His extensive experience in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational change, and conflict resolution includes nearly 20 years working in higher education in the U.S.

We’re excited about the unique perspectives that Andrea, Kris and Parker will bring to our Dialogue and Civic Engagement program this fall, as it continues to evolve to meet our students’ changing needs. The next courses begin in September.
