January 05, 2022

Congratulations to Executive Leadership program instructor Yabome Gilpin-Jackson, PhD, on being named SFU’s first Vice-President, People, Equity and Inclusion.

Her new role begins April 15, 2022, and will provide strategic leadership across the university to advance SFU’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI). Gilpin-Jackson will be the primary people leader and strategist of the university and a key member of the executive team.

An award-winning organizational development leader and scholar, she has spent her career helping people and organizations build capacity for transformational change to advance EDI and belonging in workplaces and society.

No stranger to SFU, Gilpin-Jackson is both an alumnus and current adjunct faculty member of the Beedie School of Business. She is also a valued instructor in our Executive Leadership Certificate program. Her next course, Change Management for Leaders, will begin online January 12.
