From supporting vulnerable seniors to creating connections through a virtual quilt, students in our Community Capacity Building Certificate program have no shortage of inspiring ideas to better their communities. Now, nine of our students have had their projects selected in SFU’s Student-Community Engagement Competition this spring.

Hosted annually by SFU’s Office of Community Engagement, the competition invites student teams from across the university to submit ideas for working with community groups and individuals to effect transformational change. Each winning team receives a $2,000 or $3,000 award to help realize their project.
