Corey Sobel

Corey Sobel is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), who holds a master’s in accounting from Carleton University and a bachelor of management degree. With more than 15 years of professional experience, Corey has worked across multiple industries in both public practice and senior financial management roles. His career has included positions with Deloitte, KPMG and Grant Thornton, as well as leadership roles in industry, where he developed expertise in financial reporting, business analytics and strategic decision-making.

Corey teaches business courses at both the MBA and undergraduate levels. He is known for bringing a practical, real-world approach to the classroom, drawing on his industry background to make complex accounting concepts accessible and engaging for students from diverse backgrounds. He is passionate about student learning, professional development, and creating meaningful educational experiences.

Outside of work, Corey enjoys going to the gym, training for marathons and spending time with his wife and daughter.
