The chancellor, president & vice-chancellor, and the senate of Simon Fraser University request the honour of your presence at Convocation June 2023.
Reserved SFU regalia or black gowns can be picked up prior to the ceremony at Strand Hall 3101. Please return the regalia immediately following the ceremony.
Faculty members wishing to purchase regalia
For faculty members who wish to wear the regalia of the university from which they were granted their highest degree, please note the following companies from which academic regalia can be purchased.

Assembly location: Strand Hall 3101
Ceremony Times: 9:45 a.m. | 2:30 p.m. daily
9:00 a.m. | 1:45 p.m.: Arrive for robing
9:15 a.m. | 2:00 p.m.: Assembly commences
9:35 a.m. | 2:20 p.m.: Procession departs
For those who are processing, please check in at Strand Hall 3101. Valuables, coats, etc., may be left in the assembly room and picked up there no later than one hour after the ceremony.

Outdoor ceremony notice
Convocation ceremonies are held outdoors. Please dress accordingly.
All ceremonies will be streamed live on YouTube at www.sfu.ca/convocation.
Transportation and parking
If you are driving to campus, we recommend that you park in the North parking lot. Parking will be free for participants in the acadeimic procession for convocation ceremonies.
