biography
Elle (Michelle) Walks completed their interdisciplinary PhD (Anthropology and Gender & Women’s Studies) at UBC (Okanagan). Over the last number of years, she has taught Sociology, Anthropology, and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at UBC, SFU, UFV, and KPU, as well as Douglas College, Alexander College, and Yukon College. Dr. Walks’ research has mainly focused mainly on queer reproduction. They have published on mothering, reproduction, and queer anthropology.
