Statistical Models for Social Hierarchy in Animals

Modern data describes a variety of complex interactions between many animals. Statistical tools for understanding the social structure of such animals can provide important scientific insights. This project will help develop computational tools using Bayesian inference to examine this data. Previous experience with statistical programming in languages such as R and Python is desirable. Students will gain experience in analyzing complex data and developing statistical software.
