Studying in Canada

My passport has a middle name listed, but it is missing from the PAL. Is a new PAL required?

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have confirmed that missing the middle name from the PAL will not cause issues with your study permit application. You don’t need a new PAL, provided your current one is still valid.

However, it’s important that the first and last name and date of birth included on the PAL match exactly what’s noted on the passport included in your study permit application.
