BB Collaborate is an online conferencing tool available to all instructors and staff at SFU via a site licence. It can be used as a virtual classroom, for meetings, and to offer online office hours, and it is often used to record sessions for later access. Instructors also use a variety of other conferencing solutions, and Henrik Agerskov of SFU's Enterprise Systems and Project Management Office is heading up a project to investigate options for the future. In the meantime, solutions officially supported by the university are described below.
Blue Jeans video conferencing
IT Services supports the Blue Jeans online video conferencing service, which enables live video conferencing on mobile devices and computers for small group meetings or classes. Please visit SFU Blue Jeans for more information.
For assistance with Collaborate, or to book a one-on-one orientation session, contact us by email, firstname.lastname@example.org. When booking a session, include details on time and date, what the session is to be called, and who should be set up as moderator.
