Job Search Success: Summer Dates: September 18th - October 16th

Job Search Success is an online professional writing and intercultural communication course.  You will improve your resume and cover letter while learning how to communicate in today's multicultural workplace.

The course is designed knowing you are busy.  It can take 1-2 hours per week and is open for 4 weeks.  It is instructed through videos so there is not a lot of reading.  You will receive expert feedback on your writing.

The opportunity is free for Co-op students (part of your Co-op fee covers this) and just $20 for non-Coop students.

The course is divided into four modules:

1. Getting Started:

- Think Strengths
- Breaking Down a Job Description
- Skills Graph

2. Resume Components:

- Design and Format
- Accomplishment Statements
- Revising Your Resume

3. Cover Letter Components:

- Design and Format
- Create Connection
- Clear Writing
- Revising and Proofreading

4. Intercultural Skills:

- Defining Communication and Culture
- Influences in Intercultural Communication
- Challenges in Intercultural Communication
- Strategies for Effective Intercultural Communication
- Canadian Workplace Culture
