CELLTR welcomes visiting scholars: Dr. Neil Murray and Dr. Jérémie Séror

CELLTR is thrilled to welcome two senior scholars in the field of applied linguistics, Dr. Neil Murray, Associate Professor at the University of Warwick, and Dr. Jérémie Séror, Director, Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) and Associate Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Ottawa, as visiting scholars this semester. CELLTR welcomes Dr. Séror in collaboration with the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs (OFFA).

Dr. Murray is an applied linguist with three decades of experience in language teaching and learning in Italy, Japan, Australia and the UK. His research interests include issues of policy and practice relating to English language and academic literacy in English-medium higher education institutions.

Dr. Séror is an experienced language educator. His research has focused on the socialization and academic and social achievement of multilingual students in educational settings. His current research projects explore university immersion programs, advanced biliteracy and plurilingualism, and second language writing development.
