NEW / EXISTING STUDENTS

Engineering Science has a MANDATORY Co-op Program and students should attempt to follow the recommended schedule.

Students admitted in the Fall 2017 should be seeking during the Spring of 2019 for Summer 2019 jobs. 

If you are unsure of when you should be seeking contact your Co-op Coordinator.

Returning students or transfer students who have spoken with there Coordinator should also note the dates below.

WEEK 1-9

 New or returning students who are interested in Fall 2018 Co-op placement should complete the online survey

WEEK 1-10
Participate in FAS Intake and Seeking Preparation course on Canvas
WEEK 10
Submit sample resume and cover letter for review on Canvas
WEEK 14
Submit Account Activation Application on myExperience (if interested in seeking for Fall 2018)

SEEKING STUDENTS

You should be seeking your first Co-op if you were admitted in the Fall of 2016. Transfer students should contact their Co-op Coordinator if they are unsure of seeking eligibility.

WEEK 1 - 16
Participate in FAS Seeking course on Canvas and apply for jobs on myExperience
WEEK 9
Identify if you wish to continue seeking for the Fall 2018 and complete online survey
WEEK 10
Submit sample resume and cover letter for review on Canvas
WEEK 14
Submit Account Activation Application on myExperience (only if you wish to continue seeking for Fall 2018)

WORKING STUDENTS

WEEK 1-16
Participate in FAS Co-op Spring 2018 Work Term course on Canvas - also check your SFU email regularly
WEEK 1-4
Complete placement information and Learning Objectives on myExperience
WEEK 6-12
Possible site visit with FAS Coordinator, by phone or email if you are out of the Greater Vancouver Regional District.
WEEK 12
Work Report due April 10 on Canvas
WEEK 12-14
Go over Supervisor Evaluation with your manager or supervisor - before you leave or start your next work term
WEEK 14
Last chance to inform your Coordinator of any Co-op extension beyond your original contract
