NEW / EXISTING STUDENTS

Engineering Science has a MANDATORY Co-op Program and students should attempt to follow the recommended schedule.

The Co-op office will send Co-op students an email at the beginning of every semester with instructions on what they need to do to be eligible to apply for Co-op jobs. Make sure to check your SFU email regularly in order to not miss out on important information.

Deadlines to self-enroll in the FAS Co-op Prep Canvas Course are below:

SEEKING STUDENTS

Transfer students should contact their Co-op Coordinator if they are unsure of seeking eligibility.

WEEK 1 - 16
Participate in FAS Seeking course on Canvas and apply for jobs on myExperience
WEEK 9
Identify if you wish to continue seeking and complete online survey
WEEK 10
Submit sample resume and cover letter for review on Canvas
WEEK 14
Submit Account Activation Application on myExperience 

WORKING STUDENTS

WEEK 1-16
Participate in FAS Co-op Work Term course on Canvas - also check your SFU email regularly
WEEK 1-4
Complete placement information and Learning Objectives on myExperience
WEEK 6-12
Possible site visit with FAS Coordinator, by phone or email if you are out of the Greater Vancouver Regional District.
WEEK 12
Work Report due on Canvas
WEEK 12-14
Go over Supervisor Evaluation with your manager or supervisor - before you leave or start your next work term
WEEK 14
Last chance to inform your Coordinator of any Co-op extension beyond your original contract
