Computing science alumni’s start-up takes skin-cancer screening tech to Australia

MetaOptima Technology, a company founded by computing science PhD graduates Maryam Sadeghi and Majid Razmara, is expanding to the world stage with an entry into Australia’s dermatology market after raising more than $8 million towards the initiative.

The company’s proprietary mole-tracking and dermatology platform technologies assist healthcare professionals with skin cancer screening — an important step in early diagnosis and treatment for one of the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia.
