Global energy models demonstrate best use of resources
Sustainable energy engineering professor Taco Niet was recently featured in SFU's Scholarly Impact of the Week. The initiative showcases scholarly milestones and research impacts from across the SFU research community.
The article highlights Niet's contribution to community-centred climate innovation by providing insights to policymakers to help them make better decisions for human and environmental well-being. He and his team at the ΔE+ (Delta-E-plus) research group are currently collaborating with industry, government and academia on projects that move energy systems toward a more sustainable future. The team has also contributed to the development of the Open-source Energy Modelling System and the Climate, Land, Energy, Water systems framework which are designed to inform policy development.
