About Archaeology
Archaeology at SFU reads more than 10,000 years of human relationship with the land and turns that long view into present-day professional practice. Students learn to see the present as a legacy of past decisions, and to understand that the future isn't written in stone. It is rigorous, applied and in demand, one of BC's most sought-after professions, on the front lines of reconciliation and cultural heritage, with employers hiring students before they finish their degrees.
