The School of Resource and Environmental Management invites applications for the following Sessional Instructor positions:

REM 445 Environmental Risk Assessment
Location: Burnaby Campus
Appointment Dates: January 23 to April 28, 2026
Lectures: Wednesday, 11:30 am to 12:20 pm; Friday, 10:30 am to 12:20 pm
Salary: $7,718.00 for 3 weekly contact hours
Course Description: 
Students receive theory and practical experience in the control and management of hazardous substances in the environment. This includes the application of techniques used to assess toxicological, ecological and human health risks of contaminants within the current regulatory framework. 

Qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. in environmental toxicology and chemistry or a closely related area
  2. Experience in risk assessment of environmental contaminants
  3. Experience in environmental fate and bioaccumulation modeling teaching experience at the undergraduate level
  4. Evidence of teaching experience and excellence (i.e., student reviews, other references).
