Job Search Workshops

Beginning Fall 2018, Business Co-op will be launching mandatory Advanced Business Co-op Workshops for all new Co-op students. These workshops will cover advanced topics in resume, cover letter and interview preparation drawing on direct feedback from hundreds of current Business Co-op employers. Following these workshops, Business Co-op students should have the knowledge and tools to elevate their documents and interview skills from good to great.

The new Advanced Co-op Workshops offer:

  • insights into what distinguishes an exceptional application from one that is average
  • "hands-on" experience customizing your application in order to get shortlisted
  • specialized interview practice and trouble shooting
  • strategies to handle the most common challenges identified by Co-op employers and junior & senior Co-op students

The new Advanced Co-op workshops are 1.5 hours long and build upon the essential knowledge and foundations we expect all participants to have acquired through CMC Passport workshops, such as "what" work search documents and interview to prepare. We will focus on teaching the "how" of building exceptional documents and interview skills.
