Earth Day Stewardship Challenge
Wednesday April 25th, 2018
10:00AM - 3:00PM
HABITAT RESTORATION AT MAPLEWOOD FLATS CONSERVATION AREA
2645 DOLLARTON HWY, NORTH VANCOUVER
The Faculty of Environment is pleased to invite you to our annual Earth Day Stewardship Challenge at Maplewood Flats Conservation Area, the North Shore's first wildlife bird sanctuary. With over 200 bird species and as home to several species-at-risk, this area features a trail system and protects sensitive freshwater wetland and riparian habitats along Burrard Inlet.
In partnership with the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and Wild Bird Trust, we will plant native plants to stabilize stream slopes and support wildlife and our hosts will share their knowledge of this special area, its native species and First Nation's heritage.
