Research Engagement - PSYC 393

If you are looking to earn course credits for regular work as a research assistant in a psychology research lab, you should consider taking a Research Engagement course at SFU.

Students at SFU who are interesting in taking the PSYC 393 Research Engagement Course supervised by Dr. Grace Iarocci should contact the lab at least one semester prior to the semester in which you plan to enroll, though more advanced notice is preferred.

Our application requirements are:

  • Your CV/resume
  •  Your most recent SFU unofficial transcript
  •  A cover letter describing your previous research experience and why you are interested in this course.
  • Identify if you have taken any courses with Dr. Iarocci in the past
  • Your preference in credits for the course- worth 1, 2, or 3 units.

Our requirements for a Research Engagement course are in addition to the requirements set by the Psychology department, found here. Please ensure you meet the requirements before submitting an application. Email addl@sfu.ca if you are interested in taking this course or learning more about the Research Engagement course with the ADDL. Please note that Dr. Iarocci may not be able to supervise PSYC 393 courses the semester you intend on taking the course. Flexibility in availability to take the course is encouraged.
