Qualifications:
Strong scientific writing skills with knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and concise word use. Knowledge of the conventions of scientific writing used in journal articles and technical reports. Experience editing the work of others and experience with Zotero are assets.

REM 211 - Introduction to Applied Ecology - 1 TA position

Strong background in ecology or applied ecology. Should be familiar with national and international conservation and management problems in both marine and terrestrial systems.

REM 225 Quantitative Toolkit for Social-Ecological Systems – 1 partial TA position

Qualifications:
Working knowledge of basic quantitative methods including (i) linear, exponential, and power models and (ii) basic descriptive statistics, linear regression, and hypothesis testing. Problem sets include summarizing and graphing data, and fitting quantitative models to data involving disease outbreaks, natural hazards, and population dynamics. Academic or equivalent work experience with MS Excel and R is an asset.

Calculus I&II (incl integration, differentiation, matrix algebra); statistics; environmental chemistry; analytical, organic and inorganic chemistry; high level of familiarity with excel & computer programming; experience in environmental and/or molecular toxicology.
