Senate is responsible for the academic governance of the University and so it must be concerned with all matters that bear on teaching and research in the University; this includes the development of new initiatives, the formation of priorities, and the consideration and approval of policies.

Meetings are scheduled at 5:30 pm or 7:00 pm in Room 3210, West Mall Centre. The time of the Senate meeting is determined by the Senate Committee on Agenda and Rules (SCAR).
